Call for Submissions--Queer Film and Video

The (unfortunately named) Rainbow Reels Queer Film and Video Festival
(http://rainbowreels.org) in Waterloo, Ontario is currently seeking
submissions from film and video artists interested in being showcased as
part of our 4th Annual Festival March 11-14, 2004.
Rainbow Reels accepts short or feature-length film and video projects with
some relation to Queer art, culture or experience. From political
commentary to sex-filled romps, documentaries to animation, Rainbow Reels
is committed to offering a diversity of Queer experiences on film. To
this end, submissions from and/or focusing on the experiences of people of
colour, people with disabilities, people living with HIV/AIDS, Trannies,
immigrants and women in the Queer world are especially encouraged.
What about money?
Rainbow Reels is a student-funded, entirely volunteer-directed festival
with a limited budget. That being said, we do have money to offer to
artists willing to share their work. The amount will depend on the length
of your project, and will not be sizeable, but you get that warm, fuzzy
feeling of bringing art to a cultural wasteland!
Technical Limitations
Due in part to our limited budget, Rainbow Reels is able to screen
contributions in either DVD or VHS format only. Sorry for any problems
this may cause.
