The School of Visual Arts at the University of Windsor

The School of Visual Arts at the University of Windsor invites applications for three sessional positions to teach the following courses:

1. Art History: Sessional position to teach an introductory Art History survey course for intersession 2004.
Candidates should possess an MFA, PhD Art History or equivalent degree and teaching experience at the post secondary level.

2. Drawing: Sessional position in Drawing for intersession 2004.
Candidates should possess an MFA or equivalent degree, teaching experience at the post secondary level, a record of artistic achievement and the ability to engage in critical debate.

3. Visual Culture: Sessional position to teach a course in Visual Culture for intersession 2004.
Candidates should possess an MFA, PhD Art History or equivalent degree and teaching experience at the post secondary level.

The School of Visual Arts at the University of Windsor has one of the longest established BFA and MFA programs in Canada. The school is committed to nurturing experimental and interdisciplinary work, within a critically aware environment. The scale and location of the school provides an intensive education in the richly diverse culture of a border city. The School of Visual Arts is invested in continued development of digital media and has strengths in integrated media, drawing/painting, sculpture, photography, and printmaking. The faculty is comprised of practising artists who exhibit their work widely, nationally and internationally. Applications should include: a letter of application, including a statement of citizenship/immigration status; a detailed curriculum vitae; 20 slides of current work, a teaching dossier; and three current letters of reference forwarded by the referees.
