Spark Plug Program

Telefilm Canada is launching its new Spark Plug Program under the
Department of Canadian Heritage's Spark Initiative, in order to
provide increased support for mid- to advanced-career television
producers from culturally diverse and Aboriginal communities. The
Spark Initiative is a three-year partnership between the Department
of Canadian Heritage and three of its agencies - Telefilm Canada,
the National Film Board of Canada and the Canada Council for the
Arts - to ensure that programs, policies and services of the three
partners take into account the needs and circumstances of ethno-
cultural and Aboriginal communities. Telefilm Canada's Spark Plug
Program is intended to provide support for up to 12 applicants in
its first year.
