The Toronto Celebrates Festival's got it all to amaze and amuse," announces the Toronto Star headline.
It further says, "Four day event boasts ancient art and modern fun."
Yes, we're back to celebrate Lunar New Year. 2004 will be year 4702, according to our ancient calendar,
and it will be the year of the Monkey!
This time our original Chinese theme will be expanded to include other Asian communities that celebrate
the Lunar New Year, such as: Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Burma, Laos and also Chinese-speaking
communities from Philippines, Indonesia, India, Singapore, Malaysia and others.
Let us celebrate together. Let "Toronto Celebrates" Lunar New Year!
Toronto Celebrates Lunar New Year is pleased that the official charity of the event, for the third
consecutive year, will again be the United Way of Greater Toronto. The United Way's goal is to improve the
overall health of the community. A portion of each ticket sale will be donated to bring hope and change
to the nearly 1 million people in the Toronto area who are touched by the assistance of the United Way.
