Powell Street Festival

The PSFS Programming Committee invites all artists, working in any discipline, in the Asian Canadian community to participate in a focus group session on Sunday, February 15th from 2:30-5:00pm at the Western Front (303 East 8th Ave). We hope this session will serve as a meeting ground for artists who are interested in learning more about -- and how to participate in -- the Powell Street Festival Society’s programming initiatives, which include diversifying its Festival events and expanding its year-round programs. The Festival, in its 28th year, is known for its eclectic programming which presents emerging and established, contemporary and traditional, local and international artists of Japanese descent, often collaborating with other members of the local Asian Canadian and First Nations communities.

We’d like to hear from you about any ideas you have for potential Powell Street Festival Society projects. Please bring with you any proposals, suggestions, ideas, questions, and issues you may have about the Powell Street Festival and its programming. The Society is also accepting new Programming Committee members and Board members. Members of PSF's programming committee and board of directors will be present at this session, facilitated by writer Lydia Kwa.

Please RSVP to Miko at 604 683 8240 or miko@dkam.ca
