now that all the 'summer/works' & other works are over
[tho i know there is always something in the works...]
and b4 the sun & all of us disappear in the end of summer fun,
i would like to invite everyone engaged/curious/or even just slightly interested in
b current's rAiz'n the sun program to a speshal pre-season meet & workshop day

saturday, august 28th

equity showcase theatre
651 dufferin street/north of dundas st w.

the day will involve participants in the program projections for this season:
2004-5; as well as outline criteria for participation in the official 3 year training program: beginning 2005 -2006 season

times:
10am - noon --- interviews for new people interested in participating in the raiz'n program
12:30 - 2pm --- info session & reception for all future, past, & current members
3pm - 6pm --- performance workshop as preview to the 2004-5 season's work

rAisin' the sun is b current's training ground for young people looking toward professional development thru theatre work. The aim here is to operate a repertory ensemble which provides a solid springboard for young practitioners to hone their craft and participate in ongoing meaningful work. Participants in the training program have access to development workshops, apprenticeships and mentoring opportunities, as well as work application of their craft. The training program is open to folks persuing careers in all aspects of performance & support work: including acting, directing, playwrighting, stagemangement, design, producing, technical work, marketing & administration.
