Taiko Workshops:
Classes will focus on exercising the body, mind and spirit while training in a variety of drumming styles, movements and techniques. Students should have at least 2 years training in either music or dance.

This 7 Week Session starts on September 13 and runs through October 29, 2004 - classes are 90 minutes long and are held on Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 10:00 - 11:30 AM

Prospective students have the option of taking classes on a drop-in basis for $25/class, registering for 7 classes at $20/class for $140.00 total or registering for all 21 classes at $18/class for $378.00 total. Students must have their own bachi - bachi can be purchased at the first class for $9/pair. Classes will take place at the Taiko studio, 1254 Frances Street, Vancouver, near Clark and Venables.

ABOUT UZUME TAIKO
Uzume Taiko is Canada’s first professional taiko group and formed in 1988.
This Vancouver based group uses the traditional Japanese taiko drum as its driving rhythmic core and adds Western and Eastern melodic instruments in the creation of new world music. The group has toured to Belgium, Japan, Mexico, the United States, the United Kingdom and across Canada.
