Call for Film Submissions

Now in its fifth year, ReelWorld Film Festival (RWFF) will take place from April 13th – 17th, 2005. Quoted as “one of the top ten film festivals to attend” by Reel Images Magazine, the festival has hosted films by directors such as Spike Lee, Robert Townsend, Chris Eyre, Ernest Dickerson, Jacob Cheung, Heddy Honigman, Eric Byler, Aparna Sen along with local filmmakers such as Ann Marie Fleming, Charles Officer, Anais Granofsky, Asghar Massombagi, and Shirley Cheechoo just to name a few.

ReelWorld Film Festival is a non profit organization that aims to promote, encourage and showcase the work of Canada's culturally and racially diverse film and video makers to Canadian and international audiences as well as create an awareness of and appreciation for diverse international stories.

RWFF accepts submissions that reflect culturally and racially diverse content:
· Featuring racially diverse people in prominent roles in film/video content.
· Featuring racially diverse people in film/video creation.

The Festival is seeking submission projects in the following categories:
· Features
· Short Films
· Animations
· Documentaries
· Children's Films (theme)
· Music Videos
· Experimental Films
· Student Films

Key Dates:
November 19, 2004 (postmark) - Early Entry Deadline, Shorts, Student films, Music Videos and Children films
December 03, 2004 (postmark) - Final Deadline, Features, Animations, Documentaries

Note: Works-in-progress will only be accepted at final deadline time. The submitted videotape or DVD must be clearly marked "Work in Progress" or "Rough Cut" with an indication of what aspects will change or what is missing, e.g., temp sound, avid output, missing animation, etc.
