Register for CONTACT 2005 and be part of a premiere cultural event in Toronto, stimulating excitement, discussion and innovation in photography throughout the city.

The largest annual photography event in North America, CONTACT celebrates the art of photography with exhibitions and events throughout May. CONTACT 2005 will explore the question of TRUTH in photography through public installations, lectures, films, events and feature exhibitions.

Registration for exhibitions on any subject is open until January 31, 2005.

1. Participation in CONTACT is open to anyone using a photographic medium.
2. The registrant is responsible for all venue arrangements and exhibition installation requirements: CONTACT does not provide exhibition venues.
3. Any type of venue may be utilized, including galleries, photography galleries, private dealers/studios, public spaces, restaurants, cafes and other alternatives.
4. We welcome the use of non-traditional exhibition spaces and installations.
5. Exhibitions can open prior to May 1 and close after May 31, but must include May exhibition dates.

FEE: $400 plus GST $28 = $428.00
Fees are due upon registration. (cheque, cash, money order, Interac Email Transfer, and Visa & Mastercard via PayPal).

Continuing our commitment to enhancing benefits for all festival participants and increasing audience attendance each year, we are developing a unique Neighborhood Map of Toronto for CONTACT 2005, the first of its kind for the city. This colour-coded map will enable visitors to easily navigate their way to festival exhibitions within each neighborhood.

Our new on-line registration provides neighborhood selection menus, while pop-up windows display all registered exhibition opening dates. We strongly encourage collaboration with your neighbors to establish coordinated exhibition opening dates within your community. CONTACT street markers are also in development to more prominently identify festival venues and drive traffic through your doors. By working together, CONTACT will generate greater interest and larger audiences for all involved, while stimulating more excitement about photography throughout the city.

Registration Deadline: Monday, January 31, 2005
Magazine Content Deadline: Monday February 14, 2005

At the Magazine Content Deadline exhibition listing details will be published as entered. Following this deadline you will still be able to edit your web profile until the end of the festival. An image for reproduction in the magazine must be sent to the CONTACT office by the Magazine Content Deadline (tiff/cmyk 300dpi scan, max 8 x 10 inches, on cd or Mac Zip).
