explorASIAN 2005 Call for Artists / Venues / Workshop & Seminars & Lectures

Now in its 9th year, the Vancouver Asian Heritage Month Society is pleased to present the annual explorASIAN Festival celebrating Pan-Asian arts and culture during Asian Heritage Month in May in Canada. A variety of disciplines are presented during explorASIAN including but not limited to visual arts, performance, spoken word, literature, music, film and video.

The theme for explorASIAN 2005 is THE ART OF SURVIVAL, which expands on the theme of TRADING PLACES in 2004. TRADING PLACES explored the notion of the trade through the process of exchanging art, ideas and experiences. THE ART OF SURVIVAL is a play on words that brings together the notion of artists trying to survive in the real world
with their art and the survival of art and culture and the artist in the real world.

Applicants wishing to be considered for inclusion in the 2005 festival program should visit the festival website for submission instructions.
