Call for Workshop Participants, aged 14 - 21 who live on the East Side of Vancouver.

The VECC Youth Program and MISCELLANEOUS Productions presents:
What Are You Passionate About?

A thematic workshop for youth ages 14 - 21.

Date: Saturday, March 5th, 2005
Time: 11 am - 5 pm -- lunch will be provided.
Location: Vancouver East Cultural Centre, 1895 Venables Street,
on the corner of Venables and Victoria.

Workshop Description:
This 6 hour workshop, presented by MISCELLANEOUS Productions, will focus on celebrating the diverse, complex lives of youth in East Vancouver. The workshop will be a starting point in developing a youth theatre production in 2005-06. Artistic Director, Elaine Carol will be leading 15 participants through a unique series of experimental theatre, dance / movement and vocal exercises.

This workshop will be given at no cost to youth who are 14 to 21 years old.

What to Bring:
A towel or yoga mat, athletic or dance shoes with good support, and comfortable clothing for a vigorous work-out and improvisational dance session.

About MISCELLANEOUS Productions:
MISCELLANEOUS Productions, creators and producers of THE REENA PROJECT/ Outcasts & Angels (2001); What You Carry With You…(2003) and e-race (to be presented in 2005) have been astounding audiences at the Gateway Theatre for five years with “in-your-face” performance and video. We have been living in East Vancouver for more than eight years and are passionately interested in creating an original youth theatre production in collaboration with young people from the community and the Vancouver East Cultural Centre.
