Harbour Centre, Simon Fraser University

TransCanada is an interdisciplinary conference that responds to the critical juncture we believe the study of Canadian literature is at: beyond the troubled legacy of nationalism, the domestication of multiculturalism, and an acquiescent engagement with globalization.

Featured Speakers: Diana Brydon, Daniel Coleman, Richard Cavell, Lily Cho, Peter Dickinson, Len Findlay, Lee Maracle, Ashok Mathur, Lianne Moyes, Winfried Siemerling, Stephen Slemon, Rinaldo Walcott . . . and many others.

Co-organizers: Smaro Kamboureli (U of Guelph) and Roy Miki (Simon Fraser U)

Details of Program: www.transcanadas.ca

To register: Please go the registration desk in the main foyer of Harbour Centre on Thursday, June 23, 4:30-5:30pm, or to the main desk of the Centre for Dialogue on Friday, June 24, 9am.

Fees: $300.00. Students, sessionals, and retired: $180.00

The conference fee includes coffee breaks and luncheons on the three days of the conference, Friday dinner at the Wild Ginger, and Saturday dinner and dance at Steamworks, as well as one free drink for each dinner.
