Fish Eyes is back to tell the story of the angst-ridden Meena, an exceptional Indian dancing teenager who would trade it all in just to be a "normal" high school girl. Luckily Kalyani Aunty (her spunky, pro-India dance teacher) is still around to remind Meena the importance of embracing her origins and talents. With more absurdity and more dancing than ever before, Fish Eyes is bound to pack a punch at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre. With generous support from the National Theatre School of Canada and Theatre Passe Muraille, neworldtheatre & South Asian Arts is proud to invite you to see this comedic "east meets west" story that celebrates the joy of youth and heritage.
