Japantown Sentimental Journey With Eiji Hanaoka & the Swing Allstars

The Vancouver Japanese Language School & Japanese Hall (VJLS-JH) hosts a nostalgic evening of retro Benny Goodman swing jazz served up with Japanese festival izakaya foods and swing dancing (free-lesson included). Join us in taking a ‘sentimental journey’ back in time to toast our remarkable milestone of 100 years in historic Japantown in the heart of Vancouver’s downtown eastside.

Visiting Eiji Hanaoka is one Japan’s top jazz clarinetists and pianists. He has been playing Benny Goodman swing jazz for the past 30 years and has played with many famous jazz musicians from around the world. At this relaxed evening of music, food & dance, he will be joined by four members of the Swing All Stars.
