The Vancouver Story Slam

WHERE: Our Town Cafe, 245 E. Broadway at Kingsway
WHEN: Wednesday June 14th, 2006, 8:00PM sign-up, 9:00 PM start.
Get there early if you wish to be a reader/performer.
Ten storytellers compete per evening
HOW MUCH: suggested donation of $5
WHO: Story Slam is an audience-judged competition of your 5-minute stories
HOST: stand up comic, Ivan Penaluna.
WHY: First, second and third place receive CASH PRIZES and an audio-version
of the stories gets posted on the "Bolts of Fiction" website.
Winning story becomes part of this year's CD, "Best of Story Slam 2006"
Monthly winners advance to our Grand Slam in October 2006
And a team of four tours across Canada this fall.
ALSO: Dress nice, give your best performance and cheer boisterously for
everyone, because Sally Jorgensen will be back again at this Slam to make
another video-doc', interviewing the Slammers, the judges and and the audience.
