The Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra (VICO) is the only concert orchestra
in existence to bring together jazz, classical and folk musicians from a
range of cultural backgrounds, including African, European, Middle Eastern
and Asian. Violins, flutes and even Scottish bagpipes mingle with
instruments like the erhu and the sitar, creating an indescribably beautiful
and wholly original sound played by over twenty-five amazing musicians. With
Inter-Culturealistic, the VICO presents a mesmerizing program of original
inter-cultural works to the intimacy of the Telus Studio, featuring VICO's
resident choir the Laudate Singers on several numbers. A true force of
musical innovation and cultural diversity, this one-of-a-kind orchestra
represents a fresh and inspiring voice in contemporary music - it is truly
