The expansion of the Hespeler Library, located in Cambridge Ontario, was designed by Alar Kongats Architects, Toronto. The award winning design has been recognized nationally for its innovation. An outstanding feature is the large glass "box" that fits over the original Carnegie Library and extends beyond the boundaries of that building, creating a two storey space for various library activities.

The artist designed drapery will be an important element in this project.

The Cambridge Galleries' collection mandate is focused in the area of contemporary Canadian fibre art.
