MONTREAL - Apple's iPhone is finally coming to Canada on July 11 with Rogers Wireless (RCI.B) as its exclusive carrier.
Rogers and Apple says more information about price and rate plans for the much-sought after touch-screen phone will be announced at a later date. Apple CEO Steve Jobs has announced that an eight-gigabyte model is to sell for US$199.
Jobs says the upgraded iPhone has a faster Internet connection and GPS capabilities.
Analysts have said Apple needed to upgrade the iPhone's Internet connection to work over so-called 3G, or third-generation, wireless networks.
