Asian Canadian Books

I was astonished one day when I visited a friend and saw an incredible collection 
of Asian Canadian books in his private library.  His reasoning was that he wanted 
to ensure his children and their grandchildren would have the benefit of reading 
and understanding their history and culture.  He also had a friend who was a writer 
and personally saw the years of hard work, love and conviction that went into 
producing her first book.  There are many dedicated personal libraries out there in
the community.  If you do not have one already, we hope you will start one today.  

Writers are an important commodity.  More importantly, writers from visible 
minority communities become important voices.  They help tell our stories,
express our hopes and aspirations.  Through their books, we can relive moments
in our forgotten past or pass on our history to future generations.

We have created an Asiancanadian.net's list of recommended Asian Canadian 
books for your reading enjoyment.  This list is by no means a complete list of 
all contemporary Asian Canadian literature.
